A Matter Of Fact
Synopsis
Aaron and Fred are two overly serious documentarians investigating the world’s strangest and most perplexing mysteries—most of which turn out to be utterly mundane, wildly misleading, or completely ridiculous. From vanishing townsfolk to haunted household objects, they document every case with deadpan sincerity, convinced they’re uncovering groundbreaking truths.
Each episode plays out like a classic investigative documentary, following the pair as they dive headfirst into absurd conspiracies and eerie urban legends. The tone is comedic, the investigations often ludicrous, and their findings almost always underwhelming. But beneath the surface of their misadventures, something isn’t right.

The inconsistencies they dismiss, the unsettling coincidences, the figures lurking at the edge of their footage—there’s a pattern they fail to recognise. As their investigations progress, so does the creeping sense that something far darker is at play. The mysteries they ridicule might not be so ridiculous after all.
And by the time they realise they are part of a much larger story, it’s already too late.
What started as a joke… was never really a joke at all.
